That's a nice investment. Bought it in 2007 for $14 million, lost it by defaulting on the payments so it'll sell at auction for what's believed to be $2-4 million. Only $10 million or so loss. biggrin.gif

Google and Piratesbay are not exactly the same.. TPB tried to use the current google defense and failed... in part because the main focuse of TPB was to list copy righted files for free down load.. where google just gives you everything.

Ok lets say I find a way to force google to clean up its search results.
Then the next day they see a TGP.. or a 100% legal tube site.
Not knowing the market as there are 10000000+ of markets now online and 100000000000000000000000000....+ sites etc..

The end result would be that sites that have done nothing wrong would be punished..
Now I can setup a bank ac count where donations can be sent to help them regain there lost $$$ but I dont see this working out.

Also you can apply a rule to google and not bling yahoo etc..

By actively monitoring search results google could be liable for a long list of things and it would open the door to an internet down spiral with many fall overs..

No longer could they slap a warning that the site may contain something that can harm you .. they would need to remove that site from the Google data base .. *bye bye traffic* even if it was just that you fucked up your flash player code (used a ' not a " or whatever..)

and I will increase my bid to $1.95 rec monthly at $39.95

i think that it is possible to start something against google in france: even if the purpose of google is different, google is still responsible of what they display

What makes a site legal..
How do you/google know know..
What do you do to check..
Whats the flag on my tube site that makes it legal and pornhub that flags it as not legal..
Who is responsible, where does liable end..
If I'm removed from google and I lose $$$ can I sue?
Whats the penalty for false clams etc....

Agreed. You can't do it. No way of knowing what sites are legal and what are not legal.

dont even get me started on them..

http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/b...en&answer=35308

if you don't want to be indexed or your images indexed click link above...

Simple case of a lazy webmaster/company going after cash when it can remove its content in a few min.

To remove an image from Google's image index, add a robots.txt file to the root of the server that blocks the image.

For example, if you want Google to exclude the dogs.jpg image that appears on your site at www.yoursite.com/images/dogs.jpg, add the following to your robots.txt file:

User-agent: Googlebot-Image
Disallow: /images/dogs.jpg
To remove all the images on your site from our index, place the following robots.txt file in your server root:

User-agent: Googlebot-Image
Disallow: /
Additionally, Google has introduced increased flexibility to the robots.txt file standard through the use asterisks. Disallow patterns may include "*" to match any sequence of characters, and patterns may end in "$" to indicate the end of a name. To remove all files of a specific file type (for example, to include .jpg but not .gif images), you'd use the following robots.txt entry:

User-agent: Googlebot-Image
Disallow: /*.gif$
By specifying Googlebot-Image as the User-agent, the images will be excluded from Google Image Search. If you would like to exclude the images from all Google searches (including Google web search and Google Images), specify User-agent Googlebot.
